ABOUT US

Ian King created Dig Deeper Dog Training to do just that: help people dig deep and find the source of the problem within their relationship with their dog. Our goal is to give you the tools to set up a successful lifestyle. With our system, we show you how to become interesting to your dog and gain the focus needed to obtain reliable obedience while maintaining an awesome fun-filled relationship. We utilize a fair balanced, and effective approach to working with your dog.

To us, "dog training" is about two things: communication and a relationship. Communication is what builds the relationship that we rely on in order to navigate the success that we do.

Simply put, everything we do with our dogs is a conversation. Whether we are using food, or a training tool, our goal is to always handle a dog in a fair, clear, and consistent form of communication!

Through tapping into natural drives such as movement, timing, and technique, we engage and guide our dogs through the challenges we will face together as a team.

The end goal is to maintain continuity with the everyday interactions you will have with your dog, and how you influence and affect them to get to the relationship you ultimately desire; we will help you get there!

TESTIMONIALS

"Our GSD puppy had severe aggression to automobiles, separation anxiety with us, and just plain out of control. We loved him dearly, but he was so out of control that we were having discussions about rehoming him. We were told about Ian and his ability to work through just about any issue, so as a last effort to keep our puppy in our home we decided to contact him. We had already had 4 trainers who really couldn't help us or our dog so we weren't too hopeful. First, Ian didn't make any promises, he was honest with us, we had the highest drive dog he'd ever worked with and although he could help, he wasn't sure if our dog would ever be "normal". He was very honest. But even after the first week of sessions with him, we had a different dog! We now have used Ian for about 6 months and we can comfortably walk our dog on the street with no drama at all, unbelievable. Ian found a way for my husband to leave for work without our dog ripping through the gate to get to him, unbelievable. Ian has worked tirelessly on every one of our dog's issues one by one, he even is training him to run on a treadmill for those rainy cold days. He lives, breathes, loves dogs and dog training, I would highly recommend Dig Deeper Dog Training to anyone. Worth every penny and more. Plus Ian is simply a super nice guy. We would give him 100 stars if we could.

I have two huskies that's were starting to get into it over food. I was worried so a friend told me about Dig Deeper Dog Training. Not only was he more affordable I felt like he treated us like family. My puppy has come so far in the last year. The tips and tricks I learned will stick with me forever. Thanks again Ian.

Ian king is worth his weight in gold. He took my German Shepard Chuck from being extremely aggressive. Ian took him for 3 weeks. He sends multiple videos of Chucks progress. On day 3 he sent me a video and I could not believe that was the same dog. He was so aggressive he actually nipped my neighbors always pulling on his lead. Now he obeys with voice commands and walking him no longer stresses me. I can’t say enough good things about Ian. He has taught him with love and patience and has never been cruel in his teachings. He has literally saved Chucks life. I would recommend Ian 100%.

Ian has helped Atlas be such a good dog, he came as a rescue with really bad behaviors. When Ian first came to see Atlas, I knew immediately that he was THE trainer for us. He’s consistent, firm and loving with Atlas. And he has helped us as a family bring out the best in Atlas. I’ve heard horror stories of dogs being injured and “broken” in other trainings and we didn’t want that. Who would?
If you choose Ian, you will not be sorry.

We were already raising a 5 month old German Shepherd when we lost our minds and rescued a two year old GSD. He caused a lot of issues we were unprepared for. Unwalkable (he yanked ahead and shrieked with anxiety like a hyena), would not tolerate the puppy's antics (to the point we had to keep them on different schedules) and attacking the fence when the neighbor's dogs were out. Ian was a lifesaver and helped us to keep our Rescue. He taught us to use tools we were in complete ignorance about to communicate what we wanted with both dogs in a fair way. Now we have two easy to walk Sheperds with a solid recall and who are buddies.

Ian is an amazing trainer. He gives you the tools to actually communicate with your dog and the building blocks that help create a strong bond. He is empathetic and takes the time to explain why everything is being done and how it helps. I wouldn’t trust a lot of people with my dog but I know he’s in good hands with Ian.

Ian completely changed my relationship with my super anxious dog so quickly!

While I already had experience with reactive and anxious dogs, none were quite as severe as Abbey was. I was referred to Ian by a friend and everything has gotten so much better with her. 90% of it was having my partner and I learn how to effectively communicate with her and make her work since she's a hunting breed mix who needs a ton of mental stimulation. She's now so happy that she's actually sprained her tail from wagging it too much 😅

Some days can be tough, but that's usually due to my health issues and nothing to do with her at all!

If you have a high-strung dog who hasn't had the best luck with trainers, this is the guy you need!

My dogs were supposed to be euthanized for behavioral issues when I met Ian. He turned our lives around. In just a month I went from having two extremely reactive dogs to two obedient sweethearts. I was hit by a car and landed in the hospital, and the whole time I was in the hospital Ian worked with my dogs so that when I came home I’d have no issues transitioning back into my home. In just a few days he taught the dogs how to adequately act around me while I’m on crutches and a walker. I can’t say enough good things about Ian. He is truly a life saver.

Ian really took the time to listen to my concerns and has given me the tools to better help me communicate with my dogs. He is always responsive and goes above and beyond to be available and answer any questions I have and help when needed.
